Cold & Damp

A damp and misty November Saturday.


Leaving the Nockeby bridge.


No wind, a few degrees above the freezing point.
















The old villas at the south side of Kungs Hatt.


Met the sauna boat today too.


Drottningholm.




Returning to the Nockeby bridge.

Djurgården and Fjäderholmarna

(Forgot to turn the GPS on today but we started at the pier arms in the right, went through the canal, rounded the Skeppsholmen island at the left and the went south of Djurgården to round the FJäderholmarna islands in the far right.)

Yet another fine Fall day in Stockholm, +5C in the morning and little wind. The sun is low this time of year, see my shadow here at 9:30 am when the kayaks are picked up.


Went out to Djurgården and entered the water at Vikingarnas boat club after consulting with Jascha that we accidentally met. Paddled through the canal.


The Fall colors are still magnificent.


Lots of egrets, pity about the blur of the second picture.

Continued into Nybroviken.

Heading towards the Gröna Lund amusement park.




Looking for a landing spot for the coffee break.




We found it at the Beckholmen bridge.




Then continued at the south side of Djurgården...




...out to the light house at Blockhusudden.


And crossed over to Fjäderholmarna - pure joy.


Fjäderholmarna still contains the defense for Stockholm.




Heading back to round off with another coffe at Kruthuset.

Lambarön

The fantastic Fall continues.

Forgot to swap batteries in the GPS, so no track, but we paddled from the bridge in the right corner and rounded he Lambarön island in the left one.



Paddled from our new Kayak "Hotel" at the Nockeby bridge.




Stopped for a coffee break at an island outside Hässelby.






Rounding Lambarön island, a group of small aircraft passed.


Passed the Hässelby thermal power plant -  and then struggled against the wind back.

Lådna

A fantastic Fall day, 14C and no wind. Peter and I went out to Horisontkajak at Norråva and paddled north.



Stopped for short lunch break at Jolpen, the club site of Storebro boats.




Nice place at the east side of Lådna.

I said so, a beautiful day.




Returning to Norråva in the setting sun - impossible to see where we were going, but got there.
